Review of CasinoExtra

CasinoExtra is a typical new generation casino that aggregates games from many different providers such as Net Entertainment, Microgaming, and Betsoft. It also boasts live games from Visionary iGaming, some of which are broadcast from an actual casino, the Fitzwilliam Card Club in Dublin, Ireland. CasinoExtra is licensed in Curacao and was opened in late 2013.
Software and game selection

CasinoExtra utilises a mix of game providers for its slot machine and RNG powered table games, including Net Entertainment, Microgaming, Betsoft, and NextGen. All the best and most popular slots are represented from each provider, such as The Dark Knight, Immortal Romance, Aliens, Creature From the Black Lagoon, Under the Bed and Copa slots, but unfortunately the famous and massive jackpot slot Mega Fortune has been omitted from the line up.

With such a strong contingent of software providers, it is no surprise that there are plenty of table games. Blackjack, Craps, European and American Roulette, Baccarat and of course Video Poker are all available at CasinoExtra. There is a fine selection of games, and there is more than enough to keep even seasoned online casino players happy.

However the casino’s strongest offering is probably their set of live casino games, which are provided by supplier Visionary iGaming. The casino offers live Blackjack, Baccarat and Roulette played at both studio and real casino locations. The real casino that the games are broadcast from is the Fitzwilliam Card Club which is located in Dublin, Ireland. The interesting thing is that, depending on the time of day for the locals in Dublin, you can see other punters come in off the street and place bets on the tables at the same time as you are playing, which lends an additional feeling of authenticity to the games.
Unique SuperPoints loyalty system

Just about every casino around these days offers a comp points system for loyal players. However I was quite impressed with the SuperPoints loyalty program at CasinoExtra. You earn points by doing all manner of things, in addition to playing the games for real money like everywhere else. For example, you earn 200 points for registering, then 25 every day after that just for logging in, 1000 more for verifying your ID, and another 1000 for making a withdrawal. There are even special rewards that you can earn by achieving specific thing in the games. For example, win more than 100x your bet and you get 2000 SuperPoints, or make 5000 spins on the slots and you receive 5000 more points. These SuperPoints can then be redeemed for various rewards, including free spins, improved deposit bonuses, and of course straight cash in your account.
Banking and customer support.

CasinoExtra provides a wide selection of deposit options, including e-wallets such as Skrill, Neteller, and Paysafecard, along with Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards. The casino also offers some local payment options like TrustPay, Sofort, and Giropay.

As for withdrawal options, the choices are limited to Visa, Mastercard, Skrill and Neteller. In terms of timing, CasinoExtra under promises and over delivers, which is always a nice surprise. They state withdrawals are processed within 7 days but on the occasions I made withdrawals it was done within 14 hours, without requesting documents. However, we do recommend you send in documents for validation immediately after registration to avoid any delays when withdrawing. I sent my ID and utility bill and the account was verified within 24 hours.

Unfortunately the casino has some rather restrictive withdrawal limits in place, starting at $1,000 in a single 24 hour period, on to $5,000 a week and $20,000 a month. This is definitely something you will want to keep in mind if you are a high stakes player.

There is 24/7 online support available but only via email. There is a live chat widget on the site but I never once saw it operational and instead it advised me to fill in a form which would be routed to their support crew via email. On the bright side, my email enquiries were answered within 4 hours which is pretty good in my experience. The lack of phone or live chat options can be frustrating though.
Security and responsible gaming

CasinoExtra secures all communication between players and its servers using industry standard SSL encryption. It does not publish any monthly audited payout reports nor do they publish any theoretical return to player (TRTP) figures for their games, apart from the suppliers like Net Entertainment who publish them as part of the game paytables or help files. The game suppliers themselves are audited for the fairness of the random number generators. For example Net Ent games are audited by TST and eCogra, Betsoft is audited by TST and Microgaming games are audited by GLI and eCogra.

There is a good selection of self exclusion options for anyone who may have a gambling problem including self-excluding for an exact period of time and an exact amount of losses.
