Review of Vera&John Casino

Since it launched in 2011, the oddly named Vera&John Casino has been a heavy hitter in the online betting world, securing exclusive sponsorships and really doing a great job of getting its brand out there. I took the opportunity to sit down and test Vera&John, and what I found was one of the better online casinos that I have seen recently.
Software and Games

Though I am none the wiser as to who Vera or John is, I love the way Vera&John looks, with the casinos choice of bright blue and pink graphics making something memorable. The casino itself is completely web based, meaning that you do not have to download any software in order to play there. It features a huge assortment of games provided by some of the worlds best gaming developers such as Microgaming, Net Entertainment, IGT, NextGen, Thunderkick, Yggdrasil, Bally, Playn Go and BetSoft. At the time of this review Vera&John boasts more than 700 different titles from these developers.

Many of these games are great, with titles such as Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck II, Starburst, Jokerizer, and many more finding their way onto Vera&Johns roster. While not all of the casinos games are up to that standard, there are literally so many here that I cant imagine ever going through them all. And therein lies my main problem with this casino: the layout of the games and the difficulty in finding the one you want. The games are presented in a grid view of attractive looking logos but there is no text alongside them to allow you to find them using your browser’s text search function, and there is no in-built search box on the website. So if you want to play a few rounds of Mega Fortune for example, you have to scroll through a list of logos trying to find the one you want. Not all logos are created equal though and some can be difficult to read or decipher due to their small size. This is a shame because while the casino looks fabulous, the usability is poor.

You will also find many progressive jackpots at Vera&John, with huge prizes able to be won on many video slots as well as a select few table games and video poker titles. The biggest prizes can be found on slots, with Mega Fortune, Hall of Gods, Mega Moolah, and Arabian Nights offering the big bickies for the luckiest of punters.

Another great feature at Vera&John is the large amount of table games available. These games are generally Vegas classics with several variations tied to them which alter the rules in order to shake things up. Upon inspecting the casino I found five roulette variations, nine blackjack games, five types of baccarat, and ten different types of poker. There were also five types of video poker.
Banking and Customer Support

Vera&John has a lot going for it, including a very fast and efficient banking system that quickly moves funds into the casino and back out to your pocket. The selection of financial options isnt very deep, but it is quick and players can see funds paid out in a very fast manner. My test withdrawal was paid to a Neteller account in under 24 hours and I was not asked to provide proof of identification. I would expect to have to provide this at a later stage though, as per Malta’s licensing requirements. A minor gripe is the fact that winnings of more than 100,000 may be paid out over a period of 10 monthly instalments. Even though these limits are quite high, they still represent restrictions when it comes to hitting it big, and that is a bit disappointing.

Support is available through email, telephone, and instant message, and you can talk to someone in a variety of languages such as English, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and more. There is a contact tab visible to the right at all times on the website. However I found that the live chat support was not available during the time I tested this casino. So I had to submit an enquiry via email which they took around 8 hours to answer.
